Sporty adventurer – H&R springs for the Mini Countryman
Sporty adventurer – H&R springs for the Mini Countryman Every Mini is sporty, but especially the Countryman – the maxi version of the latest Mini generation – has to prove its sportiness.
With its lordly design and especially with four-wheel drive it will be sufficient for every adventurer for a trip into the countryside. But it is mainly driven on country roads and in the city, the Mini should have more sport spirit, H&R thought. The result has no need to hide – the suspension experts have already developed made-to-measure sport springs for the entire four-wheel model range with standard chassis. They lower the Countryman by approximately 30 millimetres at the front and back. Especially the powerful-looking rear section immediately reveals that the Mini no longer stands as high as if it wants to take off – optically a real gain and with enough remaining spring travel. Technically, the Countryman gains as well, because the H&R sport springs bring the Mini’s centre of gravity down – and the road holding improves noticeably, especially in case of sporty steering movements: the body shows less tendency to roll and remains confident, even with athletic load alternations. Thus, in terms of sportiness, the maxi Mini keeps pace with its smaller brothers – even more when the individualisation is complemented by “Trak+” wheel spacers that are available now in differing widths.
