Height adjustable spring systems for BMW 6 series Grand Coupé

The BMW 6 series height adjustable springs offer a variable lowering while retaining the original adaptive or damping-adjustable shocks. The original shock absorbers can continue to operate without any limitation in function. In addition to a sporty appearance the springs also allow improved handling characteristics.

Bavaria Beau

The BMW boys may not have invented the mixture of a large sedan with a coupé-like appearance, but with the 6-Series Grand Coupé they skilfully staged it: so flat, so wide and so determined that there is hardly any air left to move upwards. The suspension specialists at H&R have now developed height adjustable springs for the Bayern-Beau for less air underneath. The original BMW shocks remain in service, and the electronically controlled version also works without restrictions. Nevertheless, the vehicle height is now adjustable steplessly, with sufficient residual spring travel for close-to-original driving comfort. At the front axle, the lowering is between 30 and 45 millimetres, at the rear 25 to 40 mm are feasible.

The perfect position of the wheels in the wheel arches enhances the look of the Grand Coupé. From a technical point of view, the vehicle's centre of gravity moves downwards. The lower body roll and a more direct steering response ensure even more driving pleasure. H&R promises further refinement with "TRAK+" wheel spacers for millimetre-precise alignment of aftermarket and standard wheels on the wheel arch edges.
